The 
History

It all started in 2004, when Brian Buckley launched the first Better Man Event at Discovery Church in Orlando, FL, drawing just 48 men. A small gathering with a big vision.

Fast forward 14 years, and the Better Man Event had become a powerhouse. Over 8,000 men packed the UCF Arena—one of the largest gatherings in the event’s history—as the movement continued to inspire men year after year.

In 2020, the Better Man Event went global. Through streaming, men across continents and languages came together, with churches and men’s ministries worldwide joining the mission to build better men.

For the first time, the Better Man Event streamed into prisons, reaching over 150,000 inmates. The result? More than 700 documented salvations—a life-changing moment for so many. Meanwhile, the event transmitted via livestream to over 1,000 churches and men’s groups in Spanish and broadcast on the two largest Christian TV networks in Latin America.

The journey continues with The Invitation: intimate “pop-up” worship events for men in cities across the U.S., designed to spark encounters with God and inspire a commitment to discipleship in local communities. Meanwhile, the annual Better Man Event keeps changing lives—live in Central Florida, behind prison walls, and through a global stream that knows no bounds.
